Das Wort geht dabei fließend in den Bereich von Wahrnehmungen über, die wir lediglich als Anzeichen werten, die jedoch gar nicht notwendigerweise als solche formuliert wurden. („Auf dem Dampfkessel lag großer Druck – wie sich das äußerte? – durch ein heftiges Zischen des Ventils.“ Näher an der intendierten Kommunikation: „Ihre Verwirrung äußerte sie ganz offen, sie errötete, wich meinem Blick aus und meinte dann....“) Die mit dem Wort einhergehende Vorstellung ist, dass es innere Zustände gibt und äußere Zeichen, an denen sie sich ablesen lassen.

has glossslv: Énoncé je francoski izraz za izjavo. Mesto v enciklopediji si zasluži zaradi posebnega pomena, ki ga je besedi dal francoski filozof in sociolog Michel Foucault. Pojem énoncé - izjava - pri Foucaju pomeni skupek besed, ki so osnovni (najmanjši, nedeljivi) nosilec smisla. Primerjali bi jo lahko z enostavno povedjo (po starem: enostavnim stavkom). Foucault je ta pojem uvedel v okviru njegovega »arheološkega« pristopa v teoriji diskurza. Diskurz je po njegovem vse (ali omejeno območje vsega), kar se o neki zadevi v neki kulturi in času lahko pove o neki zadevi; osnova za analizo diskurza pa je zbirka izjav. Arheološki pristop je zbiranje in analiza množice izjav, ki opredeljujejo diskurz v prostoru in času, kot bi iskali črepinje v arheološkem najdbišču.

Informalmente se usa enunciado como sinónimo de oración, aunque pragmáticamente existen diferencias. Por ejemplo una misma oración dicha en diferentes contextos corresponde a enunciados diferentes. Y viceversa diferentes oraciones pueden realizar un mismo enunciado: :Quiero que saques la basura. :¿Puedes sacar la basura? :Saca la basura, por favor. :¿Quieres sacar la basura?
