has gloss	eng: A T-tail is an aircraft tail stabilizer arrangement in which the horizontal surfaces (tailplane and elevators) are mounted to the top of the vertical stabilizer. Traditionally, the horizontal control surfaces are mounted to the fuselage at the base of the vertical stabilizer. The resulting arrangement looks like the capital letter T when viewed from the front or back, hence the name.

Bij vliegtuigen met een T-staart zitten de horizontale besturingsorganen bovenop de staart gemonteerd, en niet aan de basis van de staart zoals dat gebruikelijk is bij de meeste vliegtuigen. Het resultaat van deze configuratie is dat wanneer men het vliegtuig van voren bekijkt de staart op de letter T lijkt, vandaar de naam. Dit ontwerp heeft voordelen en nadelen:
