The block headquarters are located at a distance of 6 km from the district headquarters, namely, Madhepura.the most famaous temple is shiv mandir in singheswar.Singheswar block also called Singheshwarsthan has the religious significance since ancient time as this land was the meditation place of the great Rishi Shringi. Hence, this place is considered to be the most pious for the Hindus. The temple of Lord Shiva is the most famous temple in Bihar.It is being said that during the Ramayana period a purashthee Yagya was done by Raja Dashratha were as he blessed with four sons’ from the Prasad “Charu” of that mahayagya. The great Sringhi Rishi primarily worshipped Lord Shiva on the occasion of that Yagya.
